At only fifteen minutes away from the city of Valencia, capital of  the state of Carabobo, Venezuela, in the small town of Las Trincheras, with its pure air, rich in iodine due to the influence of the sea winds coming from the nearby coast of Puerto Cabello, lays the second most important thermal waters of the world in the “Centro Termal Las Trincheras” (thermal center), inside of a hollow surrounded by exuberant vegetation.

These waters  were visited in 1800 by the Baron Alexander Humboldt, who then referred to them with incredible admiration in his book “Journeys to the Equinox Regions of the New Continent”.

The Thermal Center “Las Trincheras”, founded in January 10^th 1889, has been for over a century a frequently visited place by locals and people from all over the world. Its old but comfortable building of the beginnings of the century, offers a significant contrast with the newly built hotel which provides all the services the consumer of today may require:  first class rooms with air conditioning, restaurant service, cafeteria, laundry, telephone service, postal service, medical attention and others.
